Tips & Tricks for All Hair Types by Alyssa Salmon
Alyssa is a gifted young stylist who has transitioned from behind the chair to salon owner in a very short amount of time.
WHAT/WHO INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A STYLIST?
My inspiration to become a stylist comes from the reward of making others feel good about themselves and beautiful in their own skin.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT BEING A STYLIST?
My clients! This career has brought the most amazing people into my life and I would never be where I am without them. I am so blessed to have formed such beautiful relationships that I will cherish forever.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE KIND OF CLIENT?
Someone who cares for their hair just as much at home, as they do when they come to my salon. Home hair care routines are so important in maintaining healthy hair.
WHAT GETS YOU THROUGH THE TOUGH MOMENTS/DAYS?My Dad always tells me that everyday is a gift because we never know what tomorrow will bring. I try to remind myself to be grateful for every moment, good and bad because I am lucky to live the life I am living.
WHAT IS YOUR RECOMMENDED EASY HAIR ROUTINE FOR NORMAL – DRY HAIR? OILY HAIR AND TEXTURED HAIR?
For normal to dry hair I recommend using the Mineral Moisturizing Shampoo and Mineral Moisturizing Conditioner followed by the Mineral Mud mask mixed with 2 pumps of Mineral Drop for extra shine and moisture. For oily hair I recommend the Mineral Moisturizing Shampoo to dissolve any build up and oils, and the Mineral Treatment (volume) Shampoo to give the hair some movement. Then follow up with either of the conditioners. For textured hair I’d recommend the entire Divine line. I’d use Divine Shampoo and Conditioner as well as the Divine Curls Mineral Mud mask to nourish the curls.
WHAT MAKES SAPHIRA STAND OUT FROM OTHER BRANDS?
It is the only professional hair care line made with 26 minerals from the Dead Sea, making them a healing and clean beauty line.
Alyssa’s Tips for Using Saphira
TIP #1: For curling with an ironUsing the Mineral Pomade helps hold and shape curls made with a curling iron. Take a pea size amount and scrunch the curls. To give more volume, movement, shine and hold all in one!
TIP #2: Mix it all together
The Mineral Drop is my go-to cocktail product! It can be mixed with any of the Saphira products, a little goes a long way. My favorite way to use the Mineral Drop is to mix it in with my Mineral Mud treatment.
